Here is a profile of recent activity:
Facilitated meetings between major manufacturer, workforce
officials and
City Council representatives in an effort to address
employee recruitment,
utility and security concerns. The company was considering a
possible relocation.
Result: Lease renewal and 700 jobs retained.
Referred a manufacturer with marginal recent credit history
to independent
finance broker in an effort to meet the demands of new
growth opportunities.
This led to working capital proposals and eventual letter of
intent.
Result: $250K working capital loan and line of credit.
Assisted manufacturer of aircraft equipment with State of
California Employment
Training Panel grant, workforce pre-screening & recruitment,
utility upgrades and
introduction to enterprise zone tax credits/incentives.
Result: Cost/time savings & expansion of workforce to 375
employees.
Service company having difficulty with receivables was
considering employee
lay-offs in order to offset losses. Referral to an
independent collections firm resulted
in negotiations and eventual repayment schedule.
Result: Monthly reimbursement to company & 23 employees
retained.
